Open Farm Day
We had the perfect window of clear weather for our annual Open Farm Day this past Sunday. Many cars of people and families came up the driveway and took part in tours, spinning demos, and horse drawn wagon rides. Our guests even got to sample our various preserves, tomatillo salsa, carrots, and the first of the peas!
Farm Training Workshop at Darthia Farm
We will be hosting a MOFGA farm training workshop this Wednesday (June 20) at 5pm. The topic is Farming with Horses and there will be a potluck following a 1-2 hour talk/demo.
Memorial Day Parade
Bill took Andy, Star, and the wagon to Prospect Harbor for the memorial day parade. Sounds like he had a full load.
Store is Open!
Come visit us at the Farm Store! We are open 8-5 Monday-Friday and 8-12noon on Saturday. We have been working hard this winter preserving the fruit harvest from last season and have a lot of jellies, jams, spreads, syrup, and salsa, to offer. We also have the first of our fresh produce, our yarns, and much more! Check out our Store page for more details
Transplanting Seedlings
During a day that felt like summer, we were able to transplant into a couple of gardens. Scallions, Head Lettuce, Napa Cabbage, and Bok Choi (in photo) all went into the ground and got to start sinking their roots into the warm moist earth!
